2/4/2012 Grand Island, NE Dig Out from the heavy wet snow.

A heavy wet snow of 8.5" (measured @ 10:13AM in Grand Island) has caused numerous large tree limbs to come down across town. Video shows people trying to dig out from the heavy wet that started falling over night as snow plows worked to clear the roads.

1/10/2012 Minneapolis, MN feeling like late April in January.

Record high temps in Minneapolis, MN made it feel more like late April than the second week of January. With record temps in the mid 50s around Minneapolis and little to no snow anywhere to be found, it was easier to spot people out along the Stone Arch Bridge in downtown Minneapolis or around Lake Harriet wearing shorts and T-Shirts then it was to spot snow piles on the ground.

1/2/2012 Holland to Kalamazoo, MI Lake Effect Snow Storm

A powerful winter storm system is crossing over Lake Michigan and bringing with it Gale Force Winds and winter storm warnings for the east coast of lower Michigan.

The footage starts out west of Kalamazoo near Holland, MI with video of freezing spray covering the coast line.

Further inland from the coast to Kalamazoo the heavy wet snow covered the area causing numerous accidents.


Shot 1 shows a wide shot of the shores of Lake Michigan being pounded by waves and freezing spray.

Shot 2 shows a tight shot on significant icing that has taken place, with the crashing seas still seen behind it.

Shot 3 is another angle, and a wider shot of significant icing.

Shot 4 shows a snow removal machine hard at work moving snow, as snow continues to fall rapidly.

Shot 5 shows a man filling up his gas tanks while intense snow rates and strong winds batter him.

Shot 6 shows a Michigan State Police vehicle on scene at an accident involving a semi. A tow truck is on scene.

Shot 7 shows a snow plow who has wrecked off the main highway and gotten stuck in the snow.

Shot 8 shows the snow plow driver attempting to dig himself out of the snow.

12/22/2011 Denver, CO Nasty Snowy Morning Commute

Days after the major blizzard buries parts of the plains, Denver gets slammed by a snowstorm dumping over a foot of snow across parts of the Metro area leading to numerous accidents along with school and business closures.

The snow began mid-evening on Wednesday and continued overnight with snow rates over 1-inch per hour falling in some areas. Snow continued through the morning hours across Denver.

Brand new video from the Finney County Kansas area along highway 50 from Garden City, KS to Dodge City, KS of the blizzard aftermath.

12/19/2011 Garden City, KS Blizzard Footage

New footage in from Brandon Ivey from the Blizzard in western Kansas yesterday and during the overnight hours.  Brandon is in Garden City, Kansas where they have seen more snow then Minneapolis, MN this season.

12/3/2011 Norton, KS Winter Storm B-Roll footage.

Winter weather was impacting the central part of the United States today from southern Minnesota to Kansas as a line of snow moves to the east. The worst of the snow was in north central Kansas near the town of Norton, KS.

12/1/2011 Denver, CO Snow and Cold weather footage.

November ended with sunny skies and a high temperature of 60-degrees in Denver. But less than 24 hours later, a 40-degree drop in temperatures accompanied by half a foot or more of snow ushered in December. Overnight lows in Denver Thursday night into Friday will be in the single digits to near 0 in places making for a nearly 60-degree drop in temperatures in less than 36 hours.

A coronal mass ejection (CME) hit Earth's magnetic field yesterday afternoon and triggered the Northern Lights over northern Minnesota.
